Glean With Us!
Duties and Responsibilities: Volunteer Gleaners help us harvest produce from a property in Sonoma County. A gleaning shift consists of spending up to 3 hours outside, harvesting produce. Farm to Pantry will provide tools and supplies.
Time/Commitment: Gleans are typically between 8:30am-12:00pm, Tuesday-Friday. We welcome one-time volunteers, and we also love to see familiar faces if you want to volunteer with us more consistently!
Location: Farms, yards, and properties throughout the county. On our opportunity calendar you will see the general area of the glean. Once you sign up, you will receive the exact address.
Additional Information: No prior experience or knowledge is necessary! Our staff or glean leader will provide tools and all the information you'll need to harvest. Please wear closed-toe shoes, bring layers, water, and sun protection. Volunteers are able to take home some produce for themselves, so be sure to bring a bag for your bounty!
*Please note, many of our sites do not have restrooms available*
